ABOUT HERO ROTO
Hero Rotomoulders, a proud member of ARMSA, is situated in Chamdor, alongside Kagiso and just outside Mogale City, Gauteng. We manufacture a wide range of rotationally moulded products for all sectors of industry specialising in vertical and horizontal storage tanks ranging in capacity from 250 litres to 15 000 litres.
These tanks are manufactured according to the SANS 1738 tank standard from a virgin LLDPE, UV stabilized polyethylene and are suitable for the storage and transport (with baffles) of water and chemicals. Our tanks are moulded in a variety of colours and all water tanks have a black lining to ensure zero light penetration to prevent algae growth. In addition each tank is dated and numbered ensuring traceability in the unlikely event of a warranty claim. Our other products include industrial and road safety applications as well as custom rotomoulded solutions with partnering customers.
Duys Rotomoulders has been manufacturing as a custom moulder since 2000 within the stable of the Duys Group, headed up by Henk Duys. Grant Heroldt joined the company as the Marketing Manager in May 2008 and turned the business around from one of being production led to that of being sales led. Grant and his team grew the business to serve a wide variety of industry sectors ranging from construction to industrial applications, water storage to sewage treatment and agriculture to traffic management.
In January 2013 Grant was promoted to Managing Director and under this stewardship the tank business continued to grow and Duys Tanks became a well-known brand in the market. In 2017 Grant had the opportunity to buy the company from Henk in a management buyout.
“There is a new Hero in town.” The time has now come to move away from the Duys family name and brand and give birth to our new name and branding. Hero Rotomoulders (Pty) Ltd. As the Thai’s so aptly put it – “same same, but different”. Our new name and branding is born out of Grant surname and we hope that our quality product offering and great service continue to live up to this. We are also launching a new Urban range which embraces a more luxury/urban concept. It will consist of a range of water tanks, furniture, pot plants and fish ponds.”
